UMSL has printed catalogs since 1961, when classes were first offered at the University of Missouri Normandy Residence Center at Normandy 21, Missouri. The first Bulletin labels the address as (formerly Bellerive Country Club). Each catalog is a snapshot of the institution at that time. They offer information about admissions, academic and program requirements, courses, administration and faculty, organizations, and campus services, as well as other information related to the university’s mission and educational objectives. Many catalogs have photographs that, while often not identified, still offer glimpses of campus life. Taken as a whole, this collection shows the growth of our institution from a small college holding classes on the ground of a former golf course to its current status as a thriving and vital urban university.
