Abstract
Milk Winter is a collection of non-fiction essays and fiction short stories representing defining moments in the life of the writer as she navigates early married life, social landscapes, fear and neurosis, devastation and attempts at grace. This collection explores the narrow space between tragedy and hilarity, concluding that to cross that space is to receive circumstances as they are given. Milk Winter shows early adult life in its searing, soaring moments and resolves, in the end, to accept them all.
