Abstract
Respectable Young Man & Other Stories is a collection of short fiction. The stories all have protagonists who are optimists trying to maintain their positive outlook while being faced with life’s challenges—some of which are common others somewhat unique. There are no happy endings here, but each of the protagonists will survive and learn from their experiences. Bearing adversity is the common thread of these stories, and the characters are made wiser by their suffering.
