Abstract
In the Vatican Necropolis is a collection of poems exploring the process of living
excavation. It explores how we decide to narrate the pieces of our own lives, and the
myths we create from the bits of those people’s lives that have come before us. It
explores what we make of the stories we are told and how we fill in the gaps of what
we do not know. It meditates on relationships, family, death, and grief.
