Abstract
The Golden Boys is a novel set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that examines the lives of students attending Carson College in the early 1990s. During the fall semester of her sophomore year, our protagonist Lana and her best friend Claire decide to drop acid before heading to a fraternity party. All does not go as planned—the night takes a tragic turn, bringing with it the murder of a beloved sorority sister.
This novel explores race, wealth, privilege, relationships and, most of all, secrets as Lana negotiates life, trying and failing to avoid the reality that she may be the key to solving this crime.
This thesis is the first section of The Golden Boys.
