Abstract
“Meet Me at O’Malley’s” is a contemporary linked short story collection exploring the nuances of interpersonal relationships. The collection develops themes of loneliness, revenge, and disillusionment through a series of complicated friendships and amorous endeavors. The collection follows an ensemble cast, most notably involving a mismatched fiddle trio, an on-again couple, and the roommate they use a pawn. Narrated through each member of the ensemble over the course of a year, characters must reconcile with their greed surrounding fame, artistic integrity, and romantic betrayal.
